Any time from January 3rd	Buy Tickets for OVRA’s Great Big Community Quiz. (Friday January 30th, in the Village Hall) This is a quiz for people who can’t do quizzes but love to have a go! Where the community is providing the content – the Preschools have helped with the Art Round, the Brownies and Guides have helped with the History Round, musicians in the village have helped with the Music Round ….. you get the idea! It’s going to be great fun with lots of laughs! Come as a team of 8 or let us add you to a team on the night. Tickets £10. Bar available all evening, bring your own snacks! This is OVRA’s main fundraiser for the year enabling us to keep OVRA free for all.Tickets on sale from 3^rd January

Meet us near the metal shed halfway down the field between 10.30am and 1.00pm. We meet the last Saturday of each month. NB. This is also the weekend of the RSPB’s Big Garden Birdwatch.

Help with Research at University of SurreySilas Purja, research postgraduate in Mechanical Engineering at UniS is still looking for volunteers aged 65+ to help with his research into preventing falls. Psychology researchers at the University of Surrey are seeking 7-10-year-old children and their parent/guardian to participate in paid research (£50 voucher). The study involves a presurvey and a lab session at the University of Surrey (travel costs reimbursed). Enrolling until 2027. For more information click here.

Any day from 1^st– 31^st December from 4 – 8pm	Visit the advent windows! We were hoping to get to 48, and thanks to everyone’s wonderful support we got there….. and beyond! By the 24^th December there will be 52 advent windows being lit up every evening between 4 – 8pm. Download the map here to find out when and where the windows will be appearing and then take a stroll to see them! Alternatively, if you’d prefer to see them from the comfort of your own home visit the Advent Window Gallery on the OVRA website where new windows will be added each day. A huge thank you to everyone who is creating a window for us this year and bringing such pleasure to our community!
