Charity Bake Sale
Abi, Lucy, Darcey, Anna and Grace from QE school want to help make the world a better place. They are holding a cake sale on the rec on Saturday 22nd March at 9am to raise money for The Matrix Trust, a local charity that works with vulnerable young people. They would love you to come along and buy some of their delicious bakes!

Onslow Open Gardens Sunday 8th June – Volunteers wanted to open their gardens!
We are looking for volunteers to open their gardens to our Onslow Community on Sunday 8th June from 2 – 5pm. This year we are looking for gardens in Ellis Avenue, Orchard Road, West Meads, East Meads, Queen Eleanor’s Road and the bottom end of Wilderness Road. If the event is successful we will look for gardens in different areas of the village in future years. We are limiting the area so that people can easily walk between all the gardens. So far we have 7 confirmed gardens in Ellis Avenue and West Meads, we’d love to get up to 12. We are not looking for ‘show gardens’ simply a garden that gives you, the owner, pleasure and which you’d be happy to share with others. This is a social event as much as an opportunity to be inspired and educated by other people’s gardens (and let’s admit it – to be a little bit nosey!).
Tickets for the event (£3 for one adult, £5 for a family of up to 2 adults and children), will go on sale in May. This is a joint event with Onslow Village Garden Club. Profits will go towards upkeep of the Defibrillator and the Gardening Club.
