OVRA organises events to bring enjoyment and interest to as wide a cross-section of our community as possible. They are an opportunity for people to meet each other, learn together and have fun. In a typical year we aim to organise several talks, one or two ticketed social events, two or three children’s trails and big community gatherings as appropriate.

Advent Window Trail:
Community Carol Singing and Advent Window Walk: Friday December 13th. Mulled wine from 6pm, singing 6.15 – 6.45pm, short Window walk from 6.45pm. Join us for mulled wine and fruit juice and half an hour of Community Carol singing under the sparkling Christmas lights around the Village Hall. Followed by a short tour of some of the nearby advent windows and maybe a few more bursts of song along the way!
OVRA Social – Valentine’s Jazz Night: Friday 14th February 2025. Live music, meal and dancing (if you want!)
