Guildford RSPB
The RSPB Guildford & District Group is an active group whose members enjoy a variety of activities which promote enjoyment of wildlife – and particularly, though not exclusively, birds – while encouraging conservation and raising funds for the RSPB’s national activities.
From late September to May we hold indoor meetings roughly twice a month, one afternoon meeting and one evening meeting, and these include illustrated talks, both from our own members and from leading wildlife experts. Our extensive outdoor programme has over forty wildlife walks and there are day trips and holidays to nature reserves and places of birdwatching interest in the UK. We also arrange holidays abroad to visit the many different wildlife habitats in Europe and further afield.
In September, October, March, April and May we hold our evening meetings in Onslow Village Hall, usually on the fourth Wednesday of the month. Our talks start at 7.30pm and cost £1 for members and £3 for visitors. Visitors are most welcome. In November, January and February our evening talks are via Zoom.

Karen’s Craft Group
I’m Karen and I run relaxed, technique based craft workshops, usually on the fourth Saturday of every month, in Onslow Village Hall. They are a place to learn and share knowledge and experience with other crafty adults.
I teach two techniques during the day and there is ample time to play and either copy, or put your own spin on what I have taught you. This can be with stamps, stencils, inks and paints and we create cards, journals, small mixed media projects as well as fabric painting from time to time.
They are held on a Saturday and run between 10am and 3pm and cost £25. Beginners and experienced crafters are welcome. I provide refreshments throughout the day but you bring your own lunch. Most people arrive around 9.40 so that they can get settled, grab a cuppa and have a chat before we get started at 10am.
I have been teaching craft for 15 years and I love to share my passion and inspire others to expand their own creative talents.

Stamps and Postcards
My name is Chris Rapley, and I hold fairs (mainly stamps but with some postcards) in Onslow Village Hall four times a year, on a Saturday. Our dates for 2024 are:
9 March
29 June
31 August
9 November
Fairs open at 9:30 and close at 15:00. All are welcome – young and old, serious collectors and dabblers! We also welcome people coming in to ask for advice about stamps and postcards, for example, what’s the best thing to do with an inherited collection? I can also arrange valuations of larger collections for insurance, probate etc.
You can contact me on: 01795 478175 and (mobile) 07711 677760.
