Onslow Open Gardens – a huge success!

We would like to say an enormous thank you to the 9 wonderful gardeners on Ellis Avenue and West Meads who opened their gardens to us on Sunday 8th June. Over 250 people visited the gardens and a fantastic time was had. The event raised £1200 which will go towards the upkeep of the Village Hall Defibrillator and Onslow Village Garden Club. A full report with photos will be published shortly on the Past Events page.

Following the great success of this year’s event we are hoping to make this an annual event, visiting gardens in different parts of the village each year. Next year we’re hoping we can visit gardens in Manor Way and Crossways, so if you would be happy to open your garden we’d love to hear from you!

New Hedgehog Highways page goes live!

A brand new page has just been added to the website all about our Hedgehog Highways Project. Visit it to see the map of hedgehog activity in the village and to view the gallery of hedgehog prints and photos – they’re very cute! You’ll also find everything you need to know about borrowing and using one of the monitoring tunnels and about helping hedgehogs in your garden.
