Guildford Scottish Country Dance Club
We are a busy and lively club dedicated to the promotion, learning and enjoyment of Scottish Country Dancing. The club is well established and has a membership of around 60 members. We can offer you an entertaining evening, with a friendly group of people. We welcome new members, and visitors.
We meet on Monday evenings, 8pm to 10.00pm, from September to June at Onslow Village Hall, Wilderness Road, Guildford, GU2 7QR.
During the main dancing season, club evenings are led by our resident four MCs. During May and June, members have the opportunity to lead evenings.
We celebrate Burns Night, we hold a Spring Dance with live music in May, and have the occasional club night with live music. Dances are walked through beforehand. There is no need to bring a partner, as we all take turns at dancing with each other. You do not have to be Scottish, and there is no need to wear Scottish apparel, but soft shoes or trainers are recommended – in due course you may wish to buy some purpose-made soft dancing shoes.
Feel free to pop by anytime to have a look at what we do; you’d be most welcome!
