OVRA organises events to bring enjoyment and interest to as wide a cross-section of our community as possible. They are an opportunity for people to meet each other, learn together and have fun. In a typical year we aim to organise several talks, one or two ticketed social events, two or three children’s trails and big community gatherings as appropriate.

The Advent Windows!
It’s a bumper crop this year with over 50 windows lighting up over the 24 days of Advent. The first 2 windows light up on December 1st, and by 24th December there should be 52 windows lighting up every evening between 4 – 8pm. They all continue to light up until December 31st. Print out the map and off you go! Or just click here and look at them in the Advent Window Gallery, new windows will be added every day.

Community Carol Singing
Find your favourite Christmas hat, grab your mug for your mulled wine and come along to celebrate Christmas as it should be celebrated – with lots of singing and Community Spirit! Last year over 100 people gathered under the twinkling lights to make a joyful noise and we had a wonderful time. Come along and be part of something really special!
