Onslow Village Defibrillator

There is a defibrillator in The Square on the outside wall of the Village Hall by the front door. It is the joint responsibility of Onslow WI, the Village Hall Committee and OVRA. Defibrillators can also be found on the outside wall of the Tennis Club building and at both Onslow Infants and Queen Eleanors School.
The Defibrillator Team organise free training sessions in Resuscitation and Use of the Defibrillator twice a year. These are advertised in The Village Voice and the monthly “What’s On in Onslow” mailings and members of OVRA receive email reminders. If you would like to know when the next training session will be held email info@ovra.org.uk .
Group training in CPR and the use of the defibrillator can also be arranged for a minimum donation of £25. If you are interested, please email Onslowvillageaed@virginmedia.com .
However an alternative to face-to-face training is a 15 minute online training exercise produced by British Heart Foundation called RevivR CPR Training. It is best done on a mobile phone since it is interactive and enables you to become confident in doing chest compressions and using a defibrillator. Scan the QR code below on your mobile to go straight to the training or click here to go to the training on the BHF website .
