SUMMARY:WI talk - Dogs Trust by Lucy Maynard
DESCRIPTION:Based at Newbury Rehoming Centre.  Lucy will tell us about the work of the charity\, it’s history\, re-homing work and will also explain some of the vital community work Dogs Trust offers to help the wider dog-owning community. \nTo see this year’s programme of Wednesday night activities click here \nWe are a group of women who love meeting up to enjoy presentations from a wide range of speakers on many different topics as well as art/craft activities; dance evenings; flower arranging; games/social evenings etc!\nIn addition to our monthly meetings\, we organise regular coffee mornings\, tea afternoons & pub evenings as part of our social calendar. We also enjoy several trips out during the year.  \n \nNew members are always welcome\, you can attend your first meeting free\, after which you would need to join.  Membership from 1st April 2026 for a year is set at £54 with a pro-rata rate for new members joining later in the year. \n \nWe meet on the first Wednesday of each month (except for January) in Onslow Village Hall 7.30pm – 9.30pm.\nIf you would like to visit us for a free taster evening or would like any more information\, please email us on: OnslowVillageWI@outlook.com\n

SUMMARY:Craft Day with Karen Telfer
DESCRIPTION:I run relaxed\, technique based craft workshops once a month in the Onslow Village Hall.  They are a place to learn and share knowledge and experience with other crafty adults. \n \nI teach two techniques during the day and there is ample time to play and either copy\, or put your own spin on what I have taught you. This can be with stamps\, stencils\, inks and paints and we create cards\, journals\, small mixed media projects as well as fabric painting from time to time. \n \nThey are held on a Saturday and run between 10am and 3pm and cost £25. Beginners and experienced crafters are welcome. I  provide refreshments throughout the day but you bring your own lunch. DESCRIPTION:Orchard Project – All Saints Guildford \nAll Saints Church Community Orchard Volunteer Work Mornings \nCome along and get your hands dirty as we tend the community orchard\, planting vegetables\, herbs\, fruit trees and wild flowers and maintaining paths\, fences\, hedges and planters.  All produce is available to be picked by local residents free of charge.  We also garden to encourage a broad range of flora and fauna in the orchard\, which we survey annually.  \n  \nIf you’d like to help us\, contact the office at allsaintschurchgfd@gmail.com or just turn up to one of our volunteer mornings. \nMeet us near the metal shed halfway down the field between 10.30am and 1.00pm.  We meet the last Saturday of each month.
