SUMMARY:Craft Day with Karen Telfer
DESCRIPTION:I run relaxed\, technique based craft workshops once a month in the Onslow Village Hall.  They are a place to learn and share knowledge and experience with other crafty adults. \n \nI teach two techniques during the day and there is ample time to play and either copy\, or put your own spin on what I have taught you. This can be with stamps\, stencils\, inks and paints and we create cards\, journals\, small mixed media projects as well as fabric painting from time to time. \n \nThey are held on a Saturday and run between 10am and 3pm and cost £25. Beginners and experienced crafters are welcome. I  provide refreshments throughout the day but you bring your own lunch. DESCRIPTION:Free orchestral concert for all the family\, Saturday 15 November\, 3-5:30pm\, Guildford United Reformed Church \n \nMusicians from the University of Surrey and the town of Guildford present a free orchestral concert framed around the music of Dame Ethel Smyth (1858–1944)\, a Woking-based British composer and member of the women’s suffrage movement.\n \nThe programme will also include a piece by the University’s Honorary Visiting Professor Odaline de la Martinez\, and much-loved film and popular music arrangements including Jurassic Park\, James Bond and ABBA.\n \nThe event will include a 30-minute interval during which audience members may try out selected musical instruments\, facilitated by our Music Hub Partner\, Surrey Arts.
